Multiple Intelligence Test The theory of Multiple Intelligence was presented by Dr Howard Gardner in the year 1983. That time he emphasized that there are six types of intelligences that a person is born with. Today there are eight and possibilities of other intelligences may eventually expand the list. These intelligences or competencies may be related to a person�s unique aptitude set of capabilities and ways that they might prefer to demonstrate their intellectual abilities.

This theory had developmental and cognitive application in the field of education and talent nurturing. Multiple Intelligence is the discovery of our innate potential and it may help us achieving our educational goals. It is gaining importance even after three decades and this reflects the power of this theory and its relevance.

The theory is all about human potential and Dr Gardner has very well explained this fact that if individuals differ in their intellectual profiles, it makes sense to take this fact into account in devising an educational system for individuals, groups, or even nations. He adds, "no intelligence is in and of itself artistic or non-artistic; rather several intelligences can be put to aesthetic ends, if individuals so desire."

It's very interesting to understand these 8 kinds of intelligences. Here is an account of these.

Intrapersonal Intelligence is all about being introspective. It�s about self awareness and being self reflective. This tells about individual character and one�s ability to control one's emotions, strengths, limitations and objectives. People under this category think on questions about self and life. Their learning capabilities increase when they themselves focus on the subject. Mostly, people in this category look for perfection and exactness.

Multiple Intelligence Test for Children Interpersonal Intelligence is about one�s ability in relating to others feelings, emotions and intentions. Alternatively, we may say that it spells how do we interact with others and handle them. These people are extroverts and tend to work with different group of persons and are natural leaders. They connect and communicate with ease and may form exceptional social relationship. They take interest in debates, discussions and confabulations and this way they learn the best.

Logical / Mathematical Intelligence connects with logics, reasoning and numbers. These people have ability to perform complex computations, abstract / random pattern recognition, think scientifically and do numerical activities. These people have natural excellence in mathematics. In nut shell, it can be said that numbers keep them going.

Verbal / Linguistic Intelligence refers to one�s ability to use the words and language, be it spoken one or the written one. They play with words and are comfortable in discussions, debates and lectures. They are good readers and writers and are exceptionally well in memorizing words, stories, names and dates etc.

Naturalist Intelligence involves the awareness and understanding of natural world around us constituting of plants, animals, flora, fauna and any natural object. Their inclination is towards environment and surroundings. They have capacity to notice these things deeply and may classify these as per its characteristics.

Naturalist Intelligence for Student Musical Intelligence relates to rhythm, music, nodes, sound and tones. People having high musical intelligence have special bend towards pitch recognition and have command over voice modulation. They are sensitive to sounds and may memorize different types of voices.

Visual / Spatial Intelligence attributes to visualization and mental manipulation / interpretation of visual objects. These people have strong artistic aptness and sharp visual memory. They are good navigators and have strong sense of direction.

Kinesthetic / Bodily Intelligence denotes strength of body movement and physical activity. This intelligence makes people enjoy acts of performance. These people are dexterous in motor skills and have a great sense of balance and eye-hand co-ordination. They can control their body very effectively and can generate synchronized movements.
